Lea House
- Town or Village: Lea, Nr Ross-on-Wye
- Postal Code: HR9 7JZ
You will receive a very friendly welcome at this comfortable, oak-beamed 16th century guest house. It is run by Caroline Anderson whose hospitality, renowned home cooking and award-winning breakfasts are much complimented. All the breads are home-made, the orange juice is freshly squeezed, the choice of sausages are locally made and the smoked fish is locally supplied.
The pretty furnished bedrooms are spacious and have luxurious king size or twin beds and en-suite or private bathrooms with a large range of complimentary toiletries and fluffy towels. There is a walled garden for guests to enjoy and, although Lea House is in the village, it is surrounded by fields, which makes it an ideal place to stay with your dog.
There is free wi-fi throughout and flatscreen digital tvs in every room.
We are 10 mins from Ross and the M50, and 20 mins from the M5, making us easily accessible to Birmingham and London, as well as from the West Country;. We are immediately adjacent to the Forest of Dean as well as the spectacular Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Local OS maps are available for guests’ use and lots of information on ‘what to do’. There is a good pub close by and several good local restaurants. The area is ideal for short breaks and weekends away – there is a wealth of attractions, activities and countryside pursuits.
